Arrowroot

Nutrition & Facts: A gluten free starch used to thicken and stabilize foods.  Reacts at a lower temperature than cornstarch and better for acidic foods.  Recommended as an easily digested food for children and those with dietary issues.

Uses: In place of cornstarch in most if not all recipes calling for cornstarch.

Recipe Tip:  Arrowroot dissolves easily in cold liquid, but will settle to the bottom in an almost solid like clump and needs to be stirred before adding it to a hot pan for a sauce.
